A Multi-Modal Approach to Dogs With Aggressive Behaviors

This webinar will look at how a variety of factors with the external environment and the dog's own internal environment, can affect their tendency to show aggressive responses.

Covering aspects such as relationship with caregivers, ability to make choices, diet, sleep and health, Amber will consider the science behind a multimodal approach to aggression behavior modification that goes far beyond training the dog to offer different actions.

Amber will present her 5 step "Re" Programme," which she developed over 15 years ago to help her in her consultations to ensure she was working in a highly effective, multi-faceted way with dogs who were showing aggression.

Join in this discussion with Dr. Batson to explore more about the multifaceted factors influencing a dog's behavior, including the external and internal environment. Gain insights into a science-backed, multimodal approach to aggression behavior modification. Don't miss the opportunity to delve into the 5-step 'ReProgramme' she developed over 15 years.

Veterinary Surgeon & Behaviourist

Dr. Amber Batson

Dr. Amber Batson graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1999. She commenced her career in general veterinary practice immediately after graduating. However, she quickly noticed that many consultations involved aspects of behavior, sparking her interest in acquiring science-based knowledge in this field. Over the years, Dr. Batson continued to work in veterinary practice while pursuing various behavior qualifications in dogs, horses, and cats. These qualifications seamlessly integrated with her veterinary work. In 2007, Dr. Batson established her own business, Understand Animals, with the goal of bridging the gap between current scientific knowledge and its practical application for the benefit of animals and their human companions. Alongside her clinical veterinary practice, Understand Animals provided global education on animal behavior and welfare. The business also offered veterinary behavior consultations for clients and engaged in legal expert witness work. Amber remains fervently committed to utilizing science to support a pragmatic and empathetic approach to addressing behavior issues in animals.
