Dr. Melanie Cerone

Melanie Cerone, Ph.D, CPDT-KA is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed. For over 30 years, Dr. Cerone has provided cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and behavioral consulting services to adults and adolescents with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues. She has extensive experience in applied behavior analysis for skills acquisition and behavior reduction with clients in a variety of clinical settings. Currently, she is pursuing a graduate certificate and fieldwork experience for board certification as a behavior analyst. Dr. Cerone is a lively, engaging speaker who has presented at regional, national, and international conferences on a broad spectrum of topics. Dr. Cerone’s lifelong passion for dogs inspired her to bridge her formal education and experience in behavioral science to application with companion animals. Dr. Cerone is a graduate of the Academy for Dog Trainers where she attained a Certificate in Training and Counseling. She is Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer, Fear Free Certified Professional, and Pat Miller Certified Trainer. Dr. Cerone operates a successful private practice in canine behavior consulting specializing in aggression issues. She resides in the Philadelphia suburbs with her husband, two teenaged sons, two dogs, and three birds.
